
Handkea utriforme has sent spores out into the world.
A tiny trickle of rain seems to have been all that was needed to cause a riot of Amanita phalloides to fruit en masse at Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery this week. Black and white really doesn't do this mushroom justice.
The cap is a wonderful metallic yellow bronze color.
I found these in groups around the oldest live oaks (Quercus agrifolia).
